How do you get rid of a Cat Piss Smell in the carpet?

I rented a room to this guy with a cat and she constantly peed in the dining room carpet. I tried several times to use a carpet cleaner/steamer. Smell gone a little, but is still faint. HELP please
Answers:
call in a perfessional carpet steaming service, not that expensive and very worth it.
you don't.
New Carpet!
Have the cat take a dump on it
There are solutions you can buy specifically for cat pee. They come in gallon jugs and cost about $30 from your local pet store. Expensive yes, but if you dont' have a cat they will do the job. You can also try a little vinegar and water.
Baking soda, use it dry, rub it in, leave for a while then hoover.
Replacing the carpeting and the padding underneath is the only way you will ever get it all out.
by firbirzz mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm byee hope i helped. byee
try piling salt over the area and leavingit there over night. the smell should be gone by morning. If that doesn't work get the professionals in but make your lodger pay for it
Jeezz.I'd call the guy, you've used a carpet cleaner and steamer several times and the smell still isn't out!! Try fabrezze, its only temporary but works well. Maybe you will need to just put a whole new carpet in..sorry bud.
When my cat peed in my dads house, he cut a full square out of the carpet because he claimed that once it soaks into the pad, Nothing will get it out. Pretty soon, we had a checkerboard in the bedroom and he kicked the cats outside for good. If those little bastards can't be potty trained then they can't come in the house. They live outside to this day, and when winter comes we put out a little doggygloo with an electric blanket inside to keep him warm. We are strict but not cruel. And hey sometimes it seems they pee on purpose and we just can;t have little furry animals disrespecting us.lol.
I would call a professional carpet cleaner , they have excellent chemicals which do an outstanding job and will permanently solve the problem for a reasonable price . I did this and the smell and stains were completely gone after wards , no problem at all . The cost would most likely be less than 90 bucks for this permenant solution.
I HEARD VINEGAR, IT WORKS WITH DOGS
shoot the cat, then get a new carpet.
Take a few coffee cans, pop some holes in the sides and fill it with the Non match light charcoal. Bless you my cat hating heathen.
Remove any one of from carpet. cat or guy with cat.
I am from the Philippines. I saw some new innovative high tech products coming out recently on tv.I saw a product (but unfortunately I forgot its name) that is a liquid substance which removes stains and even unpleasant odours.
1 quart white vinegar
4 ounces vanilla extract
1 gallon water
Mix in a garden sprayer and spray carpet until it is wet to the touch. Work in with a stiff push broom and allow to dry.

After the above treatment, use a product called Capture (available at Lowes, Home Depot, etc.) according to directions.

If this doesn't work, you will have to replace the carpet.
try cleaning your carpet with ammonia - it comes in a bottle and u add it to your steamer (not all of it ) it stinks like hell when using it so have plenty of ventilation but once dry it takes all the smells with it - otherwise buy a new carpet and bill him !
REPLACE PAD AND CARPET
You can't really get the smell out of your house or carpet. You kinda have to buy a new house and get rid of your cats! Sorry but that's the only way..i would no!
hi try orange oil, mixed with a little water, it worked after my elderly cat had an accident in my lounge good luck.
Pull out the carpet and replace it. You will have to have the slab treated also. It is one of the hardest odor to get rid of. Cats are great but I would never have one for that reason. Good luck

Anything that craps in a box.? Forget it!
Order a product on line called BasicH2 it worked for me It got the odor right out. The company is called Shaklee.ca these products are safe for you and your pets
