How do you get the smell of cat pee out of the couch?

My 12 year old cat peed on my couch (repeatedly of late) We are having company for dinner tomorrow night. How can I get rid of the smell of cat pee. The whole house smells of it. The couch is the only thing he has peed on.

HI there.consider using Nature's Miracle. It's an enzymatic neutralizer which dissolves urine odour stains by soaking the affected area deeply and thoroughly to let air dry. Repeated applications are necessary in order to lift the odours. It usually take few hours to dry between applications so if you do it as often as time permits you may be able to have the couch dried in time for tomorrow's guests.
Try using Fabreeze, maybe the whole bottle.
get rid of the couch.. that's your best bet.
steam claen the couch and get a room freshener.
My carpet cleaner vacuum has an upholstery tool on it that cleans couches, but if you don't have one available, try a LOT of Febreeze!!
Hi

Use hot water and washing powder or buy some odour eliminator from your vets. to stop the cat weeing, get some citrus spray. they hate it.
There is a product called Anti Icky Poo works great. Its a spray that you could get from your local vet. Also Resolve has a carpet spot treatment product for pets that would work on your couch. If you have removable covers on your couch take them off and put them through them in the washer. Also if your cat continues to pee on the couch it might be a good idea to get her looked at by a vet. She may have a UTI or bladder infection.
Get some upholstery cleaner, clean it and then use febreeze, a lot of it.
lick it up
Shoot the cat and throw it out with the couch.
In my experience, there is NO product out there that can completely remove the smell. Your best bet is to get rid of the couch and take your cat to the vet.if it's suddenly urinating on your furniture there's something wrong with it.
DON'T use a steam cleaner!! Water will just spread it. Buy some pet odor eliminator and completely douse the area, then soak it up with towels. You have to soak the area with the stuff, the enzymes break down the urine. Use a black light if you don't know exactly where the pee is, (cat pee glows in florescent black light). After you get the enzymes to kill the smell, then you can use a steamer. But, like I said, DON'T steam it until you get the pee gone.
