How do you know if your cat has a hairball?

Answers:
The only way you will know is if you hear your cat making a choking, gagging noise or you actually see the cat throw it up. This can be remedied by "hairball medicine", but a less expensive home remedy is to alway's feed dry food and once a week mix 1 teaspoon of regular cooking oil on the food. Really help's their coat, which they lick to clean themselves.resulting in a hairball! Hope this helps.
You will hear it make a loud "yacking" noise then it coughs it up,you can't miss this noise! Also, brush your cat every day,it helps dramatically.

hi, you can buy hair ball remedy.. for in door cats, they lick it off their paws, most cats eat grass, to help them to puke up hair balls
My cat stops eating because her intestines are clogged.
You know what is great for hairballs? A little vaseline on your finger, the cATS lick it up.
HACK.HACK. GYRP.HACK..GYRP. SPLAECH.
It will make a strange, hacking, coughing sound for awhile then vomit.
The cat will yack then spit vomit out some nice little hairs that leave a stain.I think! HA HA HA
Often they choke and act like they are going to vomit. Eating grass helps them with that as does adding vegetable oil to their food.
Brush the cat's fur so there isn't so much loose hair to get in their stomach when they wash themselves.
they start going haaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa then they finallly choke it up
My mate had a cat that he recorded on his phone, just hacking up.

Give them oily fish once a week to make it ease throught their digestive system.
