How do you know a male kitten from a female? My kitten is 3 1/2 months old and I looked and felt his areas, to see if it had testicles. I didn't feel anything, but is it to young to feel anything? When should it have testicles, or do you think it is a female? Someone told me it was a male, but now I don't know.

Usually, they'd have a lump on their belly (the penis is in there). If it doesn't have that lump, then it's a girl. Don't take my word for it though, I have a dog.

Sounds like you got a girl cat to me .If it's a boy you should be able to feel his testicles .
At the age of 8 weeks (2 months), it can be very difficult to sex a kitten. The female kitten鈥檚 anus and vulva are very close together. In males, the anus and penis are farther apart. This is more apparent if you have a bunch of kittens for comparison. Otherwise, you may want a veterinarian to give you some help. (Another helpful hint: if the kitten has both black and orange as part of its fur color, it鈥檚 a female).
If he is a male, he will have testicles, he is old enough. They are not yet hard and big, but if you look where he pees, he has an obvious little lump which is his penis, and attached to that a small "bag". If he only has a very very small lump, for the urethra, it is a she.
ok..female cats will have 6 to 8 nipples in rows of 3 to 4 on their chest/stomach area..they might be under the fur so you gotta look carfully but if you find them, you will know it is a gurl..if there are only like 2 on the area then it will be a male.
It is probably too soon to tell if it has testicles because they dont drop right away. This is going to sound crude but bear with me here
Under the tail is the anus, and if there is another small hole under the anus, chances are its a girl. Only time will tell if its a boy, you have to wait for its testicles to drop.
