how do you get the smell of cat urine out of the house??

How do you get rid of cat urine in the house??

Hi Jenny.Nature's Miracle Just For Cats Stain %26 Odor Remover is an enzymatic neutralizer and will work if applied correctly. The urine stain odours need to be thoroughly soaked deeply and then allowed to air dry. Repeated applications are necessary if the areas are heavily soiled.

We have tested all the other brands in the market for our exotic cats since their urine is very concentrated compared to the domestic house cats and Nature's Miracle worked the best at eliminating the odours from both feces and urine.

Well, go to a vet store and ask - there are sprays and other chemicals that are designed for that purpose. You do have to clean the areas first, though.
YOU CAN'T, especially if it is male. The best thing to do is open up the house - doors, windows etc., buy a speciality pet odour remover, and pray!!
use urinebegone, you can buy it at walmart, hardware stores, target, etc..
Urine smells because of the urea crystals so you have to use a cleaner that has enzymes in it formulated to disolve these crystals. The one that I use to remove puppy urine is called Simple Solution- I know it is at PetSmart. But I am sure that any cleaner that contains urine specific enzymes will work.
Cover it up with human urine.you'll be showing the cat who runs the joint.

.try baking soda
spray a mixture of white vinegar %26 water anywhere the cat likes to pee. this will stop him peeing there in the future.
find the exsisting spots that have been soiled and use dilluted ammonia. It smells to but in the long run all smells will be gone.
pour boiling hot water on the spot.
then sprinkle some baking soda.then a little vinegar.let it fizz for a few minutes.
you will be making volcano.remember science class?

then scrub real good.and rinse thoroughly
depending on where the cat urine because cats urine is very strong it's like ammonia. if your cat urine on any cloths matress or etc. it would be best to throw it out because there is no hope. but if it's on the floor you should use hot steaming mop water, bleach but not much, fabuloso( what ever you use make your mop water smell good.) comet and a dab of soap.
First you need to find the source. Once I found we had a cat who was making her messes near the heater in the basement, and close to the air intake valve for the whole house.
Clean out any debris and then douse the whole area with an enzymatic odor-destroying cleaner like Nature's Miracle or a similar product.
Prevent your cat from returning to that area, and if you can't then spray it regularly with cat repellent.
Change the litter in the box every day if you have more than 1 cat, and once every other day for 1 cat.
I found the best way to get rid of the smell of cat urine is to get rid of the cat, but if you insist on keeping him use baking soda!
change the litter that your using, the cat may not like the kind your using for him.cats are picky of where they use the bath room.lemon juice will take the smell out male or female.and the reason why male cats smell more then females is the amonia in the urine in the pee.it may smell like crap to us but it's 'hello dolly' to a female cat.when you make the lemon juice don't mix water in to it,you want that strong smell of lemon cause the citrus in it,cats hate it.some people use oranges but lemons do the job.
I have 9 cats and I put baking soda in with the litter. it makes it smell 10 times better.

  1. One of my 2 cats (both neutered males) had taken to painting all of my walls, furniture, and anything else he could reach. I was horrified when I got a UV light. He never did that in all of the 9 years I've had him and didn't when I got him a buddy (they love each other and did so right away) but when a strange black cat started showing up outside both of my cats went nuts and the older one (9) started his wall painting, as well as the curtains out in the kitty room. I couldn't keep up with it.

My cats are indoor cats so it's not like the stray is actually going to get in here but they both hate him (and he is weird...my neighbor's cats hate him too). I've tried cleaning with a pet urine enzyme and then spraying some "No More Spraying" but that hasn't worked. He's a sneaky little bugger too; he waits until he thinks I'm not looking and then does it. He's learned that the minute I see him backing his butt up to something he gets yelled at.

It wasn't until I found "Cat Spraying No More" that I was able to finally get rid of this tiresome behavior.

Now my house doesn't smell like a litter box anymore :)
