how do you get your pet chipped?

how do you get your pet chipped? so that if they are lost they can be identified
Answers:
Take it to the Vet. They do it for about 拢15
Your vet should be able to take care of it or refer you to someone who can.
You just take the pet to the vet - they will insert a microchip underneath the skin - minimal discomfort for only a few days. There might be some itching - but it's done and over with, no worries.
The vet. Its around 30 to 40 $$ but after you will need to register the chip # with the city.

The benefits of pet micro-chipping

Micro-chipping makes permanent identification of your pet simple.

You are issued with a certificate proving you are the owner in case your pet does go missing so that you can be re-united as quickly as possible.

Since 1999 a standard micro-chip has been used to ensure animals chipped in any country can be found world-wide. This is especially important now that Pets have Passports.

.

About the pet microchip

The pet microchip:

is the size of a grain of rice.
is quick and easy to implant.
is painless and requires no anaesthetic, whatever the species of animal.
has its own unique number with your pets and your details which are registered for life on a central database.

The vet will do it. It costs 拢15 - 拢20 and seems quite painless, just a very big needle . I had my cats chipped when I lived abroad, when I came back to the UK one of them went missing and was returned because he was chipped. Well worth it and it works!
Your vet will do it (for a fee).
ummmmmm. the vet
try the vet or a low cost spay and neuter clinic if you have limited funds they usually cost around 35 dollars and then another one time fee to register your pet with the company.
Vets office, if not he'll tell you where to go. Its really a good thing, I lost my dog, someone accidently let him out of my car %26 he ran away, somebody found him %26 turned him in at the animal shelter, They immediately, found out who owned him, %26 I was called. I'm glad I did that.
Take him to the vet and ask him to do it.
GO TO THE VET THEY USUALLY PLACE THE CHIP UNDER THE SKIN ON THE NAPE OF THE NECK THIS CHIP HAS YOUR DETAILS ADDRESS ETC.
IF YOUR PET IS LOST THE VET CAN SCAN ITS NECK AND RETURN IT TO YOU HOPE THIS HELPS
PUT IT IN A CHIPPING MACHINE. DROP IT IN THE CHIP PAN FOR 10 MINS AND PRESTO, DEEP FRIED PET. DELICIOUS.
All my six cats were chipped many years ago when I got them. Our humane society did it for $5 as they were trying to up the "return to owner" rate of cats which was only at about 15% of all the cats that came to them.
take it to the SPCA it will cost around $10 at least that's what it costs here.
if you drop it out of a tree, or chuck it off a bus, it will most likely chip
hello take him/her to your vet its just a needle like procedure costs around 拢18.

xxxx
best places to go are you're vet's or you're nearest SPCA centre, you may also find that they are the cheaper option, i think they charge about 拢10 ish, and vet's normally charge about 拢15-20. The process is really simple and fairly painless, I've had both my mutts done and neither one of them yipped or even flinched (and believe me, my dogs are complete wusses any excuse for some extra attention and cuddles.) The chip has a code number in it, every one individual, and if you're pet get's found wandering, the feed the number into a database and voila, you're details are found, you can also change address and additional details and also upload pictures of you're pet onto the database using their website.(oh and in the uk they have cut the additional registration/change address charges if you use the website, really handy.)
hope this helps, take care ttfn ;o)
take your pet to the vet they should be able to chip it there if not they will tell u where u can get it done
Make an appointment or mention it next time you take you pet to the vets.
i wouldn't let anyone else do it, a vet is fully registered, anyone else may harm your animal
Make an appointment to see the vet
at the vets its called microchipping they normally insert them at the neck area
You go to your vet. It costs! - so ring up and find out.
I just had my dog chipped 6 weeks ago. The vet did it at the same time as his neutering. I paid $35 for the chip and there was a $15 registration fee to be paid to the National Data Base.
There is pain if they do not give a local anaesthetic. The needle they use to insert the chip into the shoulder is a large cage needle. This is why most vets tell owners of young animals to have it done while your pets are spayed or neutered.
i had my cat micro- chipped last week at the vets and it cost me 17.00 .

hope this helps
