How do you introduce 2 older cats (1 male, 1 female) to 1 younger cat (female) permanently, without chaos?

Answers:
When you first bring the new cat in, keep them locked in a seperate room, and let your cats still roam the house. Let your cats smell and most likely hiss at the door (they are just showing dominence over thier domain).

After a couple hours, bring 1 cat in and introduce them in the room. Give them 15-20 minutes to get a bit comfortable and then move them into another room, and seperate all 3 cats. (don't want the 3rd to smell the new one on the 2nd cat).

After another hour or so, bring the 3rd cat to introduce them to the new cat. let them have 15-20 minutes, then take em out of the room and let them roam the house with the 2nd cat again. once those two seem fine, introdice them all 3 together.
Ok good question best way to introduce them is to to do so in neutral ground . Meaning not in the place where your cat lives. Also a word of advice it is always best to adopt a younger cat of the opposite sex as the one you have. Two cats is fine but its best for them to be younger and at a neutral place .Why? Because your cat has claimed your house as his territory so he will defend his territory. It is best to have them meet somewhere else and then eventually bring them home . Once at home keep them seperate in different rooms for a couple of weeks that way they can get to each others smells before they actually meet again.
I would go to: www.littlebigcat.com and read Dr. Jean Hovfe's article titled "Cat to Cat Introductions". That article should cover all the issues you will have to deal with in introducing the new cat into your home.

Good luck!
Just leave them alone, they will eventually get used to each other but on there own terms.
