How do you get a cat to stop peeing in a spot you don't want them to!?

I have a male cat and he keeps peeing and pooping in a chair lol and i dont really know how to get him to stop i have cleaned it and sprayed it with antibacterial stuff and everything!? i dont know what to do

You can get him fixed if he's not already. Plus they have enzyme cleaners at pet store to take away them marking smell to him. Also putting a big pillow in the chair so he can't fit could help.
Try putting some orange peel on the chair, cats can't stand the smell of it, lemons work too, and he'll soon get the message!!
try sprinkling pepper around the area . if that fails u can actually buy a cat repellent spray/powder plonk it on the chair and hey no more stinkys gl
Don't allow it to that spot :)
The cat has claimed your chair as his special area. If possible, put the chair in an area that is appropriate for his needs. Put a litter box in the seat. Soon he should come to associate the litterbox with his needs. Do not let him steal another chair.
Whipe the areas with vinegar and i assure u it will work. :)
smack it with zip lock full of your own urine. this will send the message of who s territory the cats in and make it respect your space.
Try Nature's Miracle to get rid of the odor. Put tin foil on the chair, cats don't like tin foil. You can buy cat repellent spray, but I don't find it works that great, at least the kind I got doesn't work good.
I've just had the same problem and **finally** think I may have found a solution. We took our cat to the vet, followed all the suggestions, and she was still peeing in whatever soft spot she could find (my bed, the couch, a blanket on the floor, etc.). Just yesterday I had a flash of the obvious -- put something soft in her litterbox to pee on. I set up two litterboxes instead of one -- one with regular litter, and the other with a liner and folded newspapers on the bottom. Sure enough, both last night and this morning she peed on the newspapers like a champ. You may want to give that a shot, in case the problem is that your cat just wants a soft place to pee.
First let me ask has he been fixed? That could be one reason if he hasnt. If he has well then clean the chair really good wet vac it or just get it out real good. Then there is this spray out that keeps cats and dogs off furniture use that spray to deter him from even going on the chair. I have heard that orange peels work good too but i have never tried that. I know with my cat the sray worked to keep him off the chairs so if it deters him from going on the chairs at all then he shouldnt jump up just to relieve himself. hope i have helped
