How do you get a 5 month old puppy, and 2 Cats ( almost same age ) to get along?

You could try giving them all a treat at same time and as you do so say their names like here's one for poochie and here's one for kitty. I t worked for my 2 cats and dog!

You sit with your pets and introduce them nicely, if the dogs get too rough just tell them NO and mean it. Puppes of this age 5 months want to play and can be rough and get badly scratched by cats especially in the dogs eyes. which are so very prescious.

Lots of patience and lots of time, but you need to take it slowly and watch for too agressive behaviour before it gets out of hand. Then you need to step in and give everyone a break and try and try and try again later. Sometimes it never works, but with the right type of handling, over time they should get to the point where they, at least, tolerate each other.

You cannot force any animal to get along. When they are that young it usually will work out all by itself. I have 2 cats and used to have 2 dogs, lost one to cancer. My cat yogi grew up with the dogs. Yogi was only 5 weeks old and the dogs were already 7 and 8 and it worked out in time. It is important to be a responsible pet person and make sure that no injury or harm of any kind comes to any of them when you are gone. If you must seperate them until harmony occures, then do so. Oneday you will look back and say "remember when you guys didnt like each other" as they are taking a nap snuggled together. Animals will form a pack and you will be the pack leader. The alfa leader, it is also important that you are the Alfa leader, not one of the animals.
