How does a heart murmer actually affect a cat?

Answers:
From what I've read it generally does not significally affect the lifestyle of a cat at all %26 a lot of cats live long healthy lives though there is a small risk that heart murmurs can lead to congestive heart failure.

Detected heart murmurs are not usually considered a matter of concern by a vet unless it accompanied by other signs of heart problems .
"e.g. a "cardiac cough," lethargy, poor appetite, or fluid in the lungs/heart area."

Hope this helps
It really depends on how bad the murmur is. Mild ones have no effect at all, more severe ones can seriously restrict the cats lifestyle.
If the murmur is severe, then it means the valve is not functioning well. The can could be tired or breathless even after very little running etc.
With time it will worsen. When it gets bad your cat will develop fluid on its lungs. You will know when your cat starts"hacking" alot. More health problems will develop with time, so keep your eyes open for anything out of the ordinary.
Sorry just using you to get to level 2 so i can ask more Questions
